I have already discussed three major types of anime, and I can't think of another at the moment, so I am going to tell you about a genre of characters; cat girls! These feline friends are just like normal girls, except they have ears, a tail, and many feline behaviours! And house cats are just the beginning! Cat girls are sometimes also modelled after fierce wild cats, like tigers.
Cat girls appear in all the genres of anime. You may think that they are their own genre, but that's only a genre of character. They are not a genre of story. They can appear in all genres, like fantasy, adventure, and romance. This character type really is everywhere!
Cat girls can also be drawn in different styles, like kawaii, moe or chibi. This is the most adaptable character type ever! That's what it feels like, anyway. 
This cat girl is one of my favorites. Her name is Ichigo and
she appears in the comic, 'Tokyo Mew Mew'. She is normally
a normal girl, but when the world needs help, she looks like
she does in the picture.
This cat girl was caught chasing a baby bird! All cat girls have hints of
feline behaviour.
This is a chibi cat girl. When they are chibis, they get even cuter!
As you can see by this cat girl's example, most cat girls
are just like us.
